KRISTEN PLEAT 

Hi, I am Kristen Pleat and I am currently a Senior at Kent State University. I am working towards earning a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. I look forward to getting a career in this industry soon. I am inspired by the psychology of design. I have enjoyed learning, and look forward to learning more about how design impacts people.

 

I desire to gain knowledge on all aspects of this industry to help me find my niche. My internship experience at The Cornice Company, a construction management firm, has taught me more than I could have imagined. I have had experience with bidding, budgeting, scheduling, and ordering. I have learned the construction administration process very well. I feel that this benefits my designs because I better understand full construction document sets as well as keeping designs realistic and within budgets. I look foward to exploring and learning the design side of this industry as I begin my new internship with DS Architecture. 

 

I like the space planning aspect of design most. I look forward to further perfecting my skills and broadening my knowledge of design in general. Along with my passion for design, I also enjoy arts and craft projects and attending local country concerts. My family is the most treasured aspect in my life and is always my main priority.
